UniScout is built by students, for students applying to UK universities.
We're a small team of students at Oxford, Cambridge, and Durham. We've all been through the UK university application process ourselves — the UCAS forms, the entry-requirement small print buried in prospectus PDFs, the vague course descriptions, the personal statement panic of trying to say something meaningful about five different courses at once. We built UniScout because we wished something like it had existed when we were applying.
Graduate unemployment and underemployment are at levels the UK hasn't seen in years — what's increasingly being called a "gradpocalypse." In that climate, which course and university you choose matters more than it used to. A degree is years of your life and a serious amount of money, and the gap between an informed choice and a rushed one can shape your options for a long time afterwards. We think every applicant deserves to make that choice on real information, not just marketing copy.
UniScout pulls entry requirements, module content, and official HESA Discover Uni outcome statistics — course satisfaction, graduate employment, and salary data — into one place, so you can compare courses properly instead of digging through dozens of separate university websites. It also checks contextual/widening-access offers and helps you spot what courses on your shortlist actually have in common, for when you're staring at a blank personal statement.
